Llamas can carry about 20-25% of their body weight, which is about 35 – 45 kilograms (75 – 100 pounds). They are most efficient if they are saddled with loads of 20 – 35 kilograms (50 – 75 pounds). Under this weight, they can travel up to 32 km in a single day!
