Elk can jump eight feet vertically, which makes a large fence on an elk farm very important! And that’s not all – elk can weigh up to 320 kilograms (700 pounds) and are the largest deer species on Earth. But just because an elk is large doesn’t mean they are slow. A mature bull elk can run as fast as 65 km per hour. Elk have even been able to outrun some horses in short races! Can you imagine a horse racing an elk?!
